• Did the vehicle have "Antique Tags On It"
  
• When was Inspected?
  
• If a new car MUST be inspected every year...and all other vehicles under 25 years old must be inspected then why not a crappy 25 year old...30 year old ....or even a 50 year old piece of crap..not be inspected?
  
• Did the vehicle experience a major mechanical breakdown....that if it was inspected would have been fixed.
  

Sheriff: Beaverdam resident killed Saturday after he lost control of 1971 Chevy

A Beaverdam man was killed Saturday evening after he lost control of his 1971 Chevrolet and veered into oncoming traffic, according to the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.

Brian Scott Mahanes, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which took place at approximately 6:48 p.m. in the 15000 block of Taylor Road near Coatesville Road.

Deputies said a passenger in Mahanes’ vehicle was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Mahanes’ vehicle collided with a 2007 Ford pickup, the driver of which was not injured.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
