Father unable to work after trailer stolen on Christmas in Phoenix

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) – A Phoenix family is now struggling to make ends meet after a work trailer was stolen.

They're looking for a trailer that carries a carpet cleaning machine. It was stolen on Christmas as the family celebrated the holiday at someone else's house.

"I absolutely cannot do my job without it," Dan Barlau.

Barlau said he built his carpet cleaning business from the ground up, paying off the now-stolen machine he once borrowed. His hard work put presents under the Christmas tree and paid bills in a household that's paycheck to paycheck.

"It was a really shady thing to do, of all days on Christmas, to take my significant other's job from them," Heather Prigge said.

Now, they're hoping that you see it. It was last seen in Phoenix near 39th and Dunlap avenues.
