Horse injured when trailer detaches from pick-up truck, rolls over

ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y (WSYR-TV) — Interstate 481 has reopened at Exit 2 northbound after it had been closed earlier Friday after a crash.

The DeWitt Police Chief says a pick-up truck was pulling a horse trailer with two horses in it when the trailer detached from the truck. The trailer then rolled over. The chief tells NewsChannel 9 one horse was being treated at the scene by a veterinarian for a leg injury. The other horse is fine and no humans were injured.

Traffic was diverted off at Exit 2, then allowed right back on to I-481 while the scene was cleared.
