Look at the kids....in the roadway...so close to the parade floats just waiting for somebody to hit them....Why?

Where Were The Safety Rails?  Who Was In Charge Of Safety?

June And July Of 2017 Has been the deadliest and most injury months of any year concerning parades.  We fully point the finger at our public safety leaders who has ignored the NTSB recommendations way back in 2014 and ours for over 12 years now.
Most Government Localities lack " lack clear planning procedures and rules for parades"  So why does so many Government and Insurance companies try so hard to prevent our cause from saving lives?

Matthews woman fatally run over by parade float, remembered as devoted mother

A woman from the Charlotte area died over the weekend in a freak accident involving a class reunion parade float in Lebanon, Ill., officials say.

Shelby Dickson, 33, of Matthews died Saturday evening of injuries sustained when she was run over by a float during the Lebanon Fireman’s Parade, according to Lebanon police. She had jumped off the float to retrieve a beaded necklace from the ground, an investigator said. When she tried to get back on the float, she slipped and fell beneath it.

Dickson’s sister, Amanda Annunziata, remembered her Monday as a “courageous, free-spirited, fun-loving mom, daughter and sister.”

Annunziata said her sister loved being with her family, her partner and her 4-year-old son, Brock.

Growing up, the sisters had a typical sibling rivalry. Five years older than Dickson, “I would torment her,” Annunziata said, but if anyone else tried the same, she was quick to her sister’s defense.

Their family went on yearly vacations to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina and visited family in Illinois.

Dickson, a cosmetologist, was visiting Lebanon over the weekend to celebrate the 15-year reunion of her high school class.

The sisters got together whenever they could and had fun at concerts, Annunziata said.

About five years ago, they saw Chelsea Handler shortly after Annunziata had surgery on her ACL. In crutches at the show, Dickson saw an opportunity.

“We have a situation, people, you have to move,” Dickson said, according to her sister.

In December, they went to a Salt-N-Pepa show where Dickson danced onstage, and they were planning to go to another show soon.

Dickson’s first concert was Boyz II Men, and Annunziata’s was New Kids on the Block. The bands are scheduled to play in Charlotte together on Thursday, and the two sisters were planning to attend

Over 12 years ago we noticed that another issue with Utility Trailers popped up on our constant searches on loose and detached trailers.  We noticed that each and every year more and more children, men and women were getting hurt and killed by unsafe parades and hayrides.

Our organization decided to take on the research and developed search engines to compile data and find solutions so we created www.paradesafety.org, www.dangerousharyides.org and now www.dangerousparades.org.

On August 11, 2011 we were asked to be present at a meeting where we discussed with Donald Koral of the NTSB in a meeting to discuss:

Unsafe Trailers, Lack Of Any Standards, Death's, Injuries, Stolen Trailers, Parades Death's, Hayrides Deaths and so many issues on this unregulated industry.
