Police Seek Public's Help Finding Stolen Trailer
By West Kentucky Star Staff
MAYFIELD - Mayfield authorities are asking for the public's help in finding a stolen trailer.

The Mayfield Police Department says a 6x10 trailer was stolen from a home on Parker Street between the hours of 12:00 am and 7:00 am on Tuesday.

According to police, the trailer has a brake light out on the driver's side. The trailer also has a new wooden floor.

Anyone with information on the theft or the location of the trailer is asked to contact the Mayfield Police Department.

They refuse to enact our  suggested 10 steps program to reduce all of these trailers.

Kentucky refuses to register these trailers and they refuse to enable our law enforcement to try and find these missing trailers.  "Trailers Are The Most Often Things Stolen On Wheels In Kentucky And The Least Often Found"

Don't you find it really odd....that no insurance company wants to prevent stolen trailers?  Not a single one.

The reality is that the State of Kentucky is somewhat complicit in inflicting damage to these good hearted folk and budding entrepreneurs.  Kentucky chooses not to title trailers meaning very few have license plates attached …. Or even a means for law enforcement officers to make effective inquiry of the various computerized lookouts / wants for stolen property. Think about it … as a Highway Patrolman on I-64  coming behind a utility trailer headed to a flea market in Kentucky to sell “stuff”, there is no method WHATSOEVER for that officer to make a computerized inquiry to establish reasonable cause which leads to probable cause and an arrest / recovery. YOU ALL hamstring law enforcement inflicting further harm on your residents.
